3 hurdles for Anna Party

My last post about why you shouldn't vote BJP or NDA got sharp responses and criticism from my readers. If you are neither for NDA nor for UPA... you may find this post interesting

The main question that almost everybody has put forward was
  • am I suggesting that we should wait for the ANNA party to come forward ?
Yes, I am pointing towards the emergence of a planned political party by Arvind Kejriwal and team. But before I place my trust upon a handful of activists, let us analyse this situation realistically..

Arvind Kejriwal and Anna will form political party

Some Bullet factual points to be considered:
  • The said political party by Arvind Kejriwal, is in formation.. How far they have proceeded we do not know..
  • The elections are coming in 2014.. which means they have less than a year and a half to accomplish the daunting task they have undertaken.
Before they actually put up a fight in elections, there is a long list of things they have to do... some of which are:

Find suitable candidates

To achieve the aspirations of this political party by team Anna, it is necessary that the chosen candidates be aligned and dedicated with their vision and mission of a corruption free India. This in my opinion is the toughest obstacle in their path...
Have you heard the saying, "In God we trust, all others must pay cash.."
Well, the same is applicable here. When it comes to political aspirations no-one can be trusted.
Team Anna has already burnt its hands once, by trusting Swami Agnivesh.. who turned out to be Kapil Sibal's agent within them..
Have they learnt from one betrayal ?
Or are they still the naive simple minded people who can be deceived by shrewd people like Swami Agnivesh?

Decide upon the constituencies where it is logical to contest

According to my knowledge there are around 543  constituencies in India. Obvious that  they cannot contest for so many seats.. atleast not in their first elections.
They therefore need to chose the constituencies where they have clear chance of winning. Again they need to make sure that the right candidate is put forward from the right constituency.

Draw up a Strategy : It's again going to be the NUMBER game

We can be more than sure that Political Party by Arvind Kejriwal, or the Anna Party is definitely not going to form the govt. They may get a few candidates into the parl, but not with important portfolios. To be on the ruling side, they have to be a an " important " part of the coalition... and if they prove to be anything less than important they will hardly have any say in any matter in the Parl..

It won't happen in a day. It's a process. They need our continued support.
