Baba Ramdev is going to commence his fast tomorrow.. with more than 60,000,00 people applauding him for his idea of bringing back Indian money stowed away in foreign banks.
Baba Ramdev supported Anna Hazare @ Jantar Mantar. Before that Baba had, for sometime been talking against corruption and Bharat Swabhiman during his yoga classes, which has a vast viewership across india.
However before Anna and his team's fast, Babaji had never come up with any action plan( and a fast unto death was possibly not on his mind )
Hazare's success probably hinted Baba to go ahead with the same way of protest for his set of demands.
Its a very legitimate demand indeed. The Yoga guru has always expressed his dreams and plans of strengthening India and Indians. A simple man, evidently honest and truthful... is Babaji shrewd enough to tackle men like Kapil Sibal?
Just A few WHYs :
Q. Why the government should be happy at the actions to be fired from the Ramdev camp?
Ans- The Jan Lokpal bill drafting is ongoing... At this time, it is obvious that a lot of differences and clashes , between the civil society (Anna and team) and the government will arise.
When the public is watching, it is difficult for the government to have it's ways...
Baba Ramdev will have media and the Hindustanis looking towards the Ram Lila maidaan... hence diverting attention from the bill.
As the bill drafting is supposed to be completed by the end of June, Baba Ramdev's schedule is actually very beneficial for the govt.. Giving it enough chances to stifle the bill, which would actually mean failure of the Anna camp.
Q. Why the government wants him to change his mind on this (that is to give up the fast)?
Ans. They don't want him to change his mind... :p They might have as well ignored it... But for unknown reasons they are treating it as there top priority... The intent of Govt. here is an object of suspicion.
The only concern with the government will be to get Ramdevji off his fast at a muhrat that suits them.
Q. Why can people doubt Baba Ramdev's aspirations?
Ans- Coming up with his movement at this time.. seems like Baba Ramdev did not want to be left behind or shadowed by the Gandhian... He is taking his turn to bask in glory, even if it means taking the sheen off lokpal bill movement..
Probably, it is also a show of strength.. As Ramdevji definitely has a greater followership than Anna enjoyed during his stint at JM.
Q. Why Anna Hazare supports Baba Ramdev and why the govt. doesn't like it?
Ans-for Anna it is the only sensible and dignified thing to do.. And to foster the notion that Anna and Baba are working to achieve the same goal. However there seems to be some differences that Team Anna has already made clear.
This may actually be a little difficult to swallow for the govt... They did try to create a rift, taking advantage of Baba Ramdev's(rather illogical) remark on Inclusion of PMO in lokpal bill..
Anna and team may actually take this one to a further level which will be difficult for govt. to handle.
Q. Why this movement is sure to fail?
Ans- For obvious reasons... No minister is going to withdraw money from his account and give it to us...
Let's see hoe far they go to un-qualify this movement.
Q. Why we are all supporting Ramdev Baba?
Ans- we are indians, we love Khichdi.. We love action, we love coffee table discussions.. (which have extended into FB discussions as well)
We find it easier to criticise, so we do it. Today we criticise the Govt...
tomorrow if something goes wrong.. we will turn around and criticise team Anna.. and team Ramdevji.. regardless of their sweat and blood efforts to eradicate corruption..
LIKE THESE MEN.. WE HAVE ALSO TO LEARN TO BE PEOPLE OF SUBSTANCE !!!
And the biggest question of all, to which I don't have an answer :
Q. Baba Ramdev has vast viewership. He has access to the minds, and hearts of people. He could have easily taken up a different domain than Anna's...
While Anna work's on the "Higher Officials" front... Ramdevji should have educated and motivated general people to abstain from corrupt politics...
It would have been a wonderful combination.. WHY DID RAMDEVJI NOT CHOSE TO WORK IN THE DOMAIN FO ERADICATING CORRUPTION AT THE LEVEL OF A COMMON MAN.. even when he has always been looked upon as the benefactor of the common man.

I knew the government would try to stop this movement....
But I had absolutely no idea it would go to this extent... I cried when I saw it!!
